Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the current Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced the launch of a mega-project ‘Palm Jebel Ali’, which will be twice the size of Palm Jumeirah Island.
This ambitious project will include 110 km of beaches which is quite literally double the expansion of the existing Palm Jumeirah Island construction. A one-of-its-kind landmark destination, Palm Jebel Ali promises to house around 80 new hotels to welcome tourists in large numbers. It will also be a residential haven for approximately 35,000 families who aspire to thrive in untraveled luxury, along the beachside.
Fascinated by the waterfront and luxury resort-style living, guests can experience the most lavish stay with all the possible fanfare and amenities under the sun.
According to a tweet by Sheikh Mohammed; the following was declared, “Dubai is growing and thriving. Today, we announce the new plan for Palm Jebel Ali. Its area is twice that of Palm Jumeirah and its beaches reach 110km.”
Further to this, the following was also shared on the social media platform, “Its marine and green pastures will provide housing with the highest quality of life and its visitors and tourists will enjoy more than 80 hotels and resorts that provide beautiful tourist experiences for them and their families. We announced our goal to double Dubai’s economy by 2033 and every day we add a new brick in building the most beautiful city in the world.”
This is a step in the right direction toward the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and developer ‘Nakheel’ is seen right at the forefront spearheading the construction. The city is gearing up to invite an estimated population influx of 5.8 million, to make it a cosmopolitan giant for uplifting the economic growth and development.
Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, MD of the Investment Corporation of Dubai and Chairman of Nakheel said, “We are honored to embark on a path-breaking journey with the new masterplan of Palm Jebel Ali, which is unprecedented in magnitude and scale.
Already Dubai has become a dream destination on the world map and expats are migrating here to find suitable employment opportunities and improve their overall standard of living. With the Palm Jabel project in the pipeline global news channels are projecting Dubai as the world’s most promising cities to live, work, and visit. Who would have imagined ingenuity in construction and engineering prowess could bring bountiful happiness to people?
Palm Jebel Ali is not only raising the bar in terms of vastness but also setting an example to the world of what urban planning looks like. The Island will incorporate mixed-use walkable neighborhoods, smart city technology, and adopt sustainable practices while ensuring smooth accessibility and mobility to other parts of mainland Dubai. Another fact about this community is that it will be self-sufficient in terms of power generation by adopting renewable resources to run the show. We are extremely excited to embrace the news and look forward to waking up to ‘New Horizons.’
